Why I paint, why I wrote the book.
I paint the California coast on location, I have to see it, breathe it, touch it, and fall in love with the scene before I can paint it. The places in these paintings are the same places in my book “The Light at Point Sur”. Two records of the same love: one in oil, one in words.
